Based on the area of ​​distribution, lobsters are grouped into several types.










American lobster is one of the lobster species (biological classification of Homarus americanus) found on the Atlantic coast of North America, especially from Labrador to New Jersey. 

Its body size can reach 64 cm in length and weigh more than 20 kg, which makes it the heaviest crustaceans in the world. His closest relatives are the European lobster, Homarus gammarus, which can be distinguished from its color and fewer spines under the rostrum.
